Having gained his PhD in microbial antibiotics at Nottingham University in 1979, he has spent over forty years leading high calibre teams of scientists developing and researching products, launching them across the world in over a hundred countries. Max is also passionate about helping people understand what influences their health, their wellness and their longevity by sharing the latest and most up to date fact-based scientific thinking, across a range of health topics, but delivered in a way which is both understandable and interesting.

Micronutrients (vitamins & minerals and others) are needed for hundreds and hundreds of important biochemical reactions and basically look after our overall metabolism is so many ways.
However, Public Health England (PHE) data clearly shows that the majority of adults for example, are not reaching this intended RDA target across many such micronutrients. This can lead to tiredness, weakness, muscle loss and even chronic disease later in life if not addressed.

Supplementation can really help support your diet and therefore your health too, in so many ways, but you must know what you need first and why…..and what you are looking for.
We have a whole range of articles and videos on supplements which will help you understand the scientific facts and then you can decide which health areas you wish to address using sensible and well informed supplementation.
Most of us would like to live a long life, but not if those latter years are in poor health. This is the difference between ‘lifespan’ and ‘healthspan’. Your longevity is of course partially influenced by your genetics, BUT it is heavilty influenced by other aspects, including what you eat, your exercise regime, sleep quality and also stress. All of these have huge effects on our health and therefore our healthspan too.
As we age, we need to take even more care of our bodies, so understanding what we can and should do, is of paramount importance if we are to maximise our healthspan.
