Vitamins & Minerals

Vitamins and minerals are referred to as ‘micronutrients’ and are all essential for life and certainly for good health. Most have had RDA’s (recommended levels) set many years ago but many of the RDA’s are out of date and are challenged regularly. In addition, some scientists believe that higher or ‘optimal’ levels of some nutrients are needed for better health outcomes.

These micronutrients are needed for hundreds and hundreds of important biochemical reactions and basically look after our overall metabolism is so many ways.

Public Health England data clearly shows that the majority of older adults for example, are not reaching this intended RDA target across many such micronutrients.
